A Smart Home is More Compelling for Your Customers to Sell or Rent – Find out More at Smart Home Summit this Year
There have been a couple of interesting articles based on surveys that have been done in the US, that show that people see a smart home ready home as more compelling to buy – and the same applies for short term rentals. One article states, “A new survey from Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC and Parks Associates found that Americans are thinking differently about “move-in ready” homes; they now want it to be “smart ready” too.”
Interestingly, this seems to also apply to short term rentals, where another survey highlights that people are more likely to rent a property if it is smart-home ready.
For those of us thinking that smart home is something of an early adopter phenomenon, it seems it is moving along faster than we thought – and companies such as utilities and telco companies that want to offer these services need to be planning for this sooner rather than later.
